Lead Technical Business Analyst – Performance Attribution
London (Hybrid – 2–3 days per week in office)
Contract via an Umbrella Company set up. Competitive day rate
12-month contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Technical Business Analyst with deep knowledge of performance attribution to join a high-profile change programme within a global financial services organisation.
This role is instrumental in delivering technology-driven solutions, focusing on data integrity, performance calculation workflows, and stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams. You’ll work closely with programme leadership and third-party vendors to ensure successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the technology workstream of a major change initiative, partnering with programme leadership and external providers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Translate complex business, functional, and technical requirements into structured solution documentation and deliverables.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis to support solution design, impact assessments, and validation processes.
• Embed robust data governance and management practices to ensure data quality and compliance throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Coordinate and/or conduct development analysis and testing activities.
• Support planning, estimation, and delivery tracking throughout all phases of the project, including test execution and user acceptance.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
• Proven experience in performance attribution analysis within asset or investment management.
• Practical experience using the B-One performance calculation engine.
• Strong understanding of investment products and how they affect portfolio performance.
• Proficiency in SQL and advanced data analysis techniques.
• Ability to bridge business and technical requirements, delivering clear and actionable documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders across technology and business functions.
• Background in financial services, preferably within asset management or related domains.
• Proficient in creating visual and technical artefacts (e.g., Visio, iServer) to support solution design and communication.
• Experience working with distributed teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
Desirable:
• Exposure to large-scale transformation or vendor integration programmes.
• Experience in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise data architecture principles and data governance frameworks.
