Role description
Job Title: Technical Data Analyst
Duration: long-term contract
Location: UK-based hybrid (2-3 days in a week to Sheffield)
Visa: Only Britsh/ILR/depdnet visa
We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Data Analyst to collect, analyse, and interpret complex data sets to support business decision-making. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights through analysis, reporting, and visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data Collection: Gather, clean, and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring high data quality and integrity (major part of the role).
• Analysis & Modelling: Apply statistical techniques to analyze data, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and provide meaningful insights.
• Reporting & Visualization: Develop and automate reports and dashboards using tools such as Tableau or Power BI, ensuring accuracy and usability.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Database Management: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data and improve data processing efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel (essential)
• Experience with Python, R, or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) preferred
• Solid understanding of mathematics and statistical analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly
