Role description
Company Description
Freelancing Factory is a pioneering PlatFirmβthe first (world's first) fusion of a high-scale SaaS platform and a professional services firm. We provide the industrial infrastructure for Fulfillment on Demand (FoD) and Services-With-Accountability-as-a-Software (SWAaaS).
We are currently executing the Dirigo Renewal Endeavor (DRE)βa statewide industrial rollout in Maine, and the Globe. We have just acquired a legacy SaaS engine to serve as the digital ledger for this ecosystem, and we are deploying an elite unit / task force to stabilize and secure this asset.
Role Description: The Mission
The Lead Technical Sapper is a high-intensity, 30-day contract role for a Code Surgeon. You are not here to build "new features"; you are here to perform technical archaeology and stabilization. You will work alongside the outgoing founder and our Global CISO to audit a legacy codebase, seal performance leaks, and protect a $47,003 MRR "trickle."
This is a bimodal infrastructure mission: you will maintain the legacy engine on AWS/Google Cloud while building the "Sovereign Bridge" to our private infrastructure on Backblaze B2 and Silent Circle.
Key Objectives:
β’ The Stripe Knot: Forensic untangling of a complex Recurly-to-Stripe bridge across dual accounts without dropping a single subscription.
β’ Knowledge Extraction: Shadowing the founder for a 30-day "Knowledge Extraction" to map every failing dependency and performance leak.
β’ MUSA Readiness: Hardening the API and backend logic for a high-traffic deployment (the Maine United Sports App).
Qualifications
β’ Veteran Troubleshooter: 10+ years in the seat. You have a proven track record of inheriting "messy" codebases and making them bulletproof.
β’ Infrastructure Native: You understand the difference between public cloud sprawl and hardened, sovereign data storage.
β’ Polyglot Proficient: Deep knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or Java, with the ability to read and debug unfamiliar logic at high velocity.
β’ Outcome-Driven: You believe that "done" is better than "perfect," but "broken" is an unacceptable failure state.
β’ Document-Capable: Ability to translate high-level industrial manifestos into a technical API roadmap.
How to Apply: The Forensic Test
β’ π― Skip the standard resume. Message the founder with the word "FORENSIC." Include a brief description of the most critical vulnerability or legacy mess youβve ever had to patch under a hard deadline without breaking the revenue stream.
