JOB TITLE: Learning Technology & AI Solutions Consultant LOCATION: Houston, TX PAY RANGE: $56 - $60/hr. DURATION: 6 months TOP 3 SKILLS: Proven experience leading enterprise learning technology platforms, including LMS, LXP, and LRS, with expertise in platform optimization, vendor management, and learning analytics. Strong knowledge of learning standards (SCORM, xAPI) and hands-on experience implementing AI-enabled learning solutions for content generation, recommendations, and workflow automation. Ability to translate business and learning needs into scalable, technology-driven solutions while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams. Role Summary: The Learning Technology & AI Solutions Consultant serves as an expert and advisor for learning technologies, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions. This role will manage the learning technology ecosystem and drive scalable, data-informed, and innovative learning solutions that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and learner experience. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic oversight for the Learning Experience team on tools and technology, while optimizing the use of learning technologies across the LMS, LXP, LRS, and authoring tools. Evaluate platform performance, adoption, and data quality to drive continuous improvement. Evaluate, select, and manage learning technology vendors and influence platform roadmaps. Translate emerging AI capabilities into practical, ethical, and value-driven learning solutions. Establish guardrails for responsible AI use in learning, including data privacy, bias mitigation, and explainability. Build learning team capability in learning technology fluency, analytics literacy, and AI awareness. Act as a consultative partner to Learning Enablement Managers, Learning Consultants, Sales Enablement, and Leadership Development teams. Recommend the right technology and AI approaches based on business needs, learner context, and solution scope not trends or tools. Develop standards, documentation, and enablement resources to support effective use of learning technologies across the organization. Ensure risks associated with learning technologies are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies. Required Qualifications: Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in learning technology, instructional design, information systems, or a related field. Demonstrated experience leading enterprise learning platforms and learning technology strategy. Strong knowledge of LMS/LXP ecosystems, SCORM, xAPI, and learning analytics. Experience evaluating and implementing learning technologies, including AI-enabled tools. Ability to translate learning and business needs into scalable, technology-enabled solutions. Success Measures: Scalable, reliable learning platforms with strong adoption and data integrity. Reduced manual effort and faster delivery through automation and AI enablement. Successful adoption of innovative learning technologies aligned to enterprise needs. Establish and leverage a centralized Learning Record Store (LRS) to support enterprise-wide and contingent workforce learning tracking, reducing manual effort and eliminating fragmented tracking across multiple systems. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Deep knowledge of enterprise learning technologies, including LMS, LXP, LRS, authoring tools, learning standards (SCORM, xAPI), and emerging AI-enabled learning solutions. Fluency across learning platforms and tools such as Workday or Cornerstone, Degreed or EdCast, NovoEd, Articulate or Rise, and collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams and EasyRetro. Fluency in Spanish ideal but not required. Experience leading learning technology implementations, platform optimization, and vendor management. Strong expertise in curating, organizing, and governing digital learning content, including taxonomy design, metadata management, tagging standards, and content lifecycle practices. Practical experience applying AI to learning use cases such as content generation, learning recommendations, search optimization, analytics, and workflow automation. Solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices. Proven ability to partner with and influence cross-functional teams and business leaders using a consultative approach. Experience deploying scalable learning solutions to diverse audiences, including deskless and frontline workers, supported by data and analytics.
