Position: Legal Engineer/Technologist
Duration: 6 months, 30-40 hours/week
Location: 100% remote
Overview
Elevate is partnering with a leading cloud-based construction management software provider to support the search for a Legal Engineer / Legal Technologist for an interim engagement. This role sits at the intersection of legal, operations, and technology, acting as a bridge between legal business users and IT/development teams. The ideal candidate will identify pain points and translate them into technical requirements, user stories, and success criteria to support scalable legal technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Serve as a liaison between legal stakeholders and technical teams to gather, document, and translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
β’ Configure and optimize Ironclad CLM, including advanced workflows, conditional approvals, and end-to-end βLead to Signatureβ process mapping.
β’ Support and manage implementations of Legal AI / GenAI tools for high-volume contract review, analysis, and data extraction.
β’ Design and support integrations between Salesforce (SFDC) and the contract repository to ensure accurate and seamless data flow.
β’ Manage ongoing legal technology operations, including ticket triage and issue resolution via Jira Service Management and workflow automations (e.g., Slack).
β’ Operate within an Agile, sprint-based environment, supporting both project delivery and βrun-the-businessβ activities.
β’ Communicate complex technical workflows in a clear, practical manner to attorneys and legal operations professionals.
β’ Partner cross-functionally with Legal, IT, Procurement, and Operations teams to drive adoption and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
β’ 8+ years of experience in Legal Technology, Legal Operations, Business Analysis, or Program Management roles.
β’ Advanced Ironclad CLM configuration experience, including multiple cross-functional implementations.
β’ Hands-on experience with Legal AI / GenAI tools (platform-agnostic; experience matters more than the specific tool).
β’ Strong solution design mindset with the ability to translate legal needs into technical solutions.
β’ Excellent communication and stakeholder-influencing skills.
β’ Undergraduate degree required; advanced education preferred.
Nice-to-Have
β’ Experience working in Agile / sprint-based delivery models.
β’ Familiarity with legal and procurement technology tools such as SimpleLegal, Zip, Logikcull, e2Open, and DocuSign.
β’ Knowledge of ticketing, workflow, finance, or procurement systems.
