Licensing-entitlement Management Business Analyst

Job: Business Analyst Location: San Jose, CA Duration: Contract Key Responsibilities · Partner with cross-functional teams (business, engineering, and operations) to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements. · Write clear, concise, and testable user stories with strong acceptance criteria. · Conduct deep-dive data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and process optimization opportunities. · Run SQL queries and leverage data visualization tools to validate assumptions, support business decisions, and monitor product KPIs. · Added advantage if has the domain knowledge on licensing models, entitlement logic, device inventory tracking, and compliance rules. · Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness activities, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams. · Act as the bridge between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring clarity, traceability, and timely delivery. · Contribute to process improvements that enhance product quality, efficiency, and data integrity. Required Skills & Experience · 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Functional Consultant in IT or SaaS environments. · Preferable with experience with licensing, entitlement management, or device lifecycle management systems. · Proven ability to write high-quality user stories with clear acceptance criteria and business context. · Hands-on experience in data querying (SQL), validation, and data-driven decision-making. · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to navigate complex cross-functional dependencies. · Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills. · Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with distributed teams.
