Role description
GeBBS Consulting, a leader in Healthcare Technology solutions, is helping a major technology solutions partner to identify a Business Analyst with a strong background in the Life Sciences industry for a hybrid role in the Foster City, CA area. This is a hybrid role with up to 3 days per week on-site required. Project Description: The Life Sciences Business Analyst will lead business analysis efforts supporting the design, implementation, and validation of a GxP-regulated laboratory environment in a hybrid setting based in Foster City, CA. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, QA, and vendors to define requirements, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the deployment of laboratory systems. The analyst will play a critical role in aligning business needs with compliant technical solutions, driving data integrity standards, and supporting Computer System Validation (CSV) activities across lab systems and infrastructure. What You’ll Get to Do: β€’ Lead requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops to define business and functional needs. β€’ Develop and maintain key documentation including BRDs, URS, FRS, and RTMs. β€’ Ensure adherence to ALCOA+ data integrity principles and GxP regulatory requirements. β€’ Analyze current lab processes and design optimized future-state workflows (As-Is / To-Be). β€’ Evaluate proposed IT and lab system solutions for feasibility, compliance, and business alignment. β€’ Support implementation and configuration of lab systems including LIMS, CDS, ELN, Empower, and associated instrumentation. β€’ Partner with IT and engineering teams on system integrations, interfaces, and configurations. β€’ Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution. β€’ Support project planning, tracking, and reporting activities across the project lifecycle. β€’ Contribute to validation planning and author/review validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ, protocols, reports). β€’ Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the system lifecycle. β€’ Support audit readiness, change control processes, and compliance reviews. β€’ Coordinate with vendors, QA teams, lab engineers, and system integrators to ensure successful delivery. β€’ Conduct risk assessments and identify potential data integrity or compliance vulnerabilities. β€’ Define and support data migration strategies, including archival, backup, and audit trail requirements. You’ll Bring these Qualifications: β€’ Experience as a Business Analyst within Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or GxP-regulated environments. β€’ Strong understanding of GxP, CSV (Computer System Validation), and data integrity principles (ALCOA+). β€’ Proven ability to gather and document requirements and produce BRDs, URS, FRS, and RTMs. β€’ Experience supporting implementation of lab systems such as LIMS, CDS, ELN, Empower, or similar platforms. β€’ Knowledge of lab operations, workflows, and regulated laboratory environments. β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex system processes. β€’ Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, and cross-functional collaboration sessions. β€’ Ability to create process maps, workflow diagrams, and technical documentation. β€’ Hands-on experience with MS Office tools including Excel and other documentation platforms. β€’ Familiarity with network architecture, firewall configurations, and lab system infrastructure is preferred. β€’ Experience configuring or supporting Active Directory, Single Sign-On (SSO), and file share environments. β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to technical and non-technical stakeholders. β€’ Experience owning root cause analysis and driving issues through to resolution. β€’ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a hybrid, fast-paced environment.
