About The Role • The Life Science Business Analyst will identify, design, implement, and support data management, curation, and analytics solutions for our pharmaceutical, academic, and institutional clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of scientific business processes and technical platforms to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. What You'll Do • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with scientific and regulatory needs. • Analyze laboratory workflows and clinical development processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization. • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data quality and adherence to FAIR principles. • Perform data analysis using statistical methods and programming languages (Python, SQL, R) to derive actionable insights. • Support master data management (MDM) initiatives by developing machine learning models to match, merge, and de-duplicate records. • Lead system testing efforts, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure accurate system documentation. • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team. • Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, facilitating communication and ensuring smooth implementation of solutions. • Provide training, documentation, and support to end-users to ensure effective system utilization. Qualifications Must-Haves: • BS or MS in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or equivalent industry experience. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry. • 3+ years of experience as a business analyst working with data management and analytics platforms. • Strong experience in data modeling, business process analysis, and translating business requirements into technical specifications. • Proficiency in Python and/or R, SQL, and data visualization tools. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence. • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a remote environment. • Experience with GxP validation and knowledge of regulatory requirements. Nice-to-Haves • IIBA Certification in Business Analysis or familiarity with BABOK principles. • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and DevOps practices. • Knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and clinical data workflows. • Exposure to machine learning tools such as TAMR. • Understanding of regulatory requirements such as CLIA, FDA, and EMA
