We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Liferay Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend technologies, particularly Java, and extensive experience working with Liferay. This position is available in both our San Francisco, CA and New Jersey, NJ offices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend solutions using Liferay and Java.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java.
• Extensive experience with Liferay Portal development.
• Proficiency in SQL and database design.
• Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
