Responsibilities Coordinate end-to-end logistics activities, including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Oversee warehouse operations such as stocking, materials handling, and warehouse management system (WMS) utilization to maintain optimal inventory levels. Manage transportation logistics by planning routes, scheduling freight movements, and utilizing transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize costs and delivery times. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors through effective sourcing, procurement, negotiation, and vendor management to secure favorable pricing and contract terms. Conduct data collection and analysis using tools like Tableau and SQL to monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify root causes of issues, and implement process improvements. Utilize ERP systems such as AS400 or other enterprise resource planning platforms for procurement, demand planning, production scheduling (MRP), and inventory control. Lead category management initiatives by analyzing market trends, pricing strategies, and supplier performance to maximize profit & loss outcomes. Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and freight carriers to ensure smooth dispatching and compliance with shipping regulations. Support shipping & receiving operations by managing documentation, customs clearance processes, and ensuring adherence to safety standards such as forklift operation and materials handling protocols. Engage in continuous process improvement efforts by analyzing supply chain analytics data to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management with a strong understanding of warehouse distribution, inventory control, and logistics operations. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms like SAP or similar software such as AS400 or SQL databases. Demonstrated skills in data analysis using Tableau or other visualization tools; ability to interpret complex data sets for decision-making. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful vendor management and sourcing strategies. Knowledge of procurement processes, freight forwarding (including NVOCC), shipping & receiving procedures, and demand planning methodologies. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred but not required. Excellent problem-solving abilities with experience conducting root cause analysis to resolve supply chain disruptions effectively. Ability to work collaboratively across departments including production planning, procurement, transportation planning, and category management teams. Effective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, carriers, internal teams, and external partners. Physical capability to handle warehouse tasks including materials handling; familiarity with safety standards is a plus.
