International Logistics Operations Manager
Ready to help redefine global shipping and make international commerce seamless?
We’re looking for an experienced International Logistics Operations Manager to build world-class transportation solutions and elevate my clients global supply chain.
In this role, you’ll oversee third-party small-parcel partners in a cross-dock open-and-inspect environment, drive operational excellence, ensure compliance, and lead continuous improvement across our international network.You
• Build and optimize operational processes with third-party logistics partners (staffing, parcel screening, automation, facility setup).
• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs and keep documentation updated with learnings and best practices.
• Serve as the SME for Dangerous Goods, Export Compliance, and industry/carrier standards.
• Drive seamless package flow across domestic and international carriers—visibility, handoff, returns, and chain-of-custody accountability.
• Manage daily cross-dock operations and vendor relationships, including consolidation and liquidation partners.
• Track cycle time, lead time, quality, and cost metrics; collaborate with partners to deliver continuous performance improvement.
• Own partner SLAs—quality, cost, productivity—and provide clear reporting and action plans.
• Conduct operational assessments, lead process improvements, and ensure standard work adoption.
• Champion innovation in processes and technology.
• Collaborate with program managers, product teams, and business leaders to advance key initiatives.
• Forecast volume changes and work with partners to adjust operations and control costs.
• Troubleshoot operational issues (claims, exceptions, customer queries, misroutes).
• Lead internal and external Quarterly Business Reviews to ensure KPIs exceed targets.Skills
• 5+ years in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or warehousing.
• 3+ years vendor/partner management with strong relationship-building skills.
• Deep understanding of cross-docking, fulfilment, or process consulting.
• Strong data literacy and ability to drive decisions through KPIs and analytics.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methods and tools.
• Programme/project management experience in global or matrixed environments.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with logistics tools/platforms (Tableau, Jira, Salesforce, SQL a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field; MBA preferred.Preferred
• IATA Dangerous Goods Handling/Acceptance certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
• Experience managing international shipping or logistics programmes.
• Knowledge of marketplace dynamics, global e-commerce, and international regulations.
