Job Title: SAP HCM Functional Consultant
Location: Atlanta, GA 30354 (Hybrid – 2 to 3 Days Onsite/Remote)
Duration: 12 Months
Experience Required: 8+ Years
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior SAP HCM Functional Consultant to support HR business operations and employee data management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in SAP HCM Organizational Management (OM) and Personnel Administration (PA), along with experience working closely with HR business teams, IT stakeholders, and third-party vendors/interfaces.
This role will focus on requirements gathering, business process solutioning, HRIS support activities, testing/UAT, and coordination across functional and technical teams within an existing SAP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support SAP HCM functional activities with strong focus on Organizational Management (OM) and Personnel Administration (PA)
• Gather business requirements and translate business needs into functional HRIS solutions
• Partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to support employee data management and HR operational processes
• Support HRIS enhancements, issue resolution, and solution delivery activities within existing SAP environments
• Participate in testing activities including UAT, validation, defect tracking, and issue resolution
• Coordinate with technical teams and third-party vendors/interfaces to support downstream HR data integrations
• Analyze current business processes and recommend process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Prepare functional documentation, user stories, and business process documentation as needed
• Provide functional support, user guidance, and best practice recommendations to business users
• Support implementation, stabilization, and ongoing enhancement activities across HRIS/HCM initiatives
Required Skills:
• 5+ years of SAP HCM functional experience
• Strong experience with SAP HCM Organizational Management (OM) and Personnel Administration (PA)
• Experience with requirements gathering and HR business process solutioning
• Experience supporting testing/UAT and defect resolution activities
• Strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience working between business users and technical/IT teams
• Experience supporting HRIS/HCM environments and employee data processes
Preferred Skills:
• SAP Payroll, Benefits, or Time Management exposure
• SAP SuccessFactors exposure
• Experience working with third-party HR/payroll interfaces and integrations
• Prior experience in enterprise HR technology or payroll transformation environments
Additional Notes:
• This is a functional consulting/business analyst role and not an ABAP development position
• Hands-on technical development or heavy SAP configuration experience is not required
• Candidates with strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are highly preferred
