Overview
Experis is seeking an experienced M365 Data & Telemetry Analyst to support an enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 governance, access risk, and Copilot readiness assessment for a leading insurance organization. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and validating telemetry across SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Graph, and Microsoft Purview within a complex Multi-Geo environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience extracting and analyzing Microsoft 365 data at scale and can build repeatable, well-documented solutions that support risk assessments and governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Extract, analyze, and validate telemetry across SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams in a large-scale Microsoft 365 environment.
• Execute data collection and sampling activities across multiple Microsoft 365 data residency regions.
• Analyze Microsoft Purview classification and sensitivity label data to support governance and risk assessments.
• Assess sharing, permissions, external access, and content exposure risks across SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Perform Teams governance analysis, including ownership, guest access, sharing settings, and Copilot exposure considerations.
• Develop scalable PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and KQL-based tooling to automate data extraction and reporting.
• Generate structured datasets and reporting that support governance findings, risk heat maps, and remediation recommendations.
• Execute and validate SharePoint Advanced Management and Data Access Governance reporting.
• Create clear documentation and reusable runbooks that enable the client to independently execute future assessments.
Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration, governance, data analysis, or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and Kusto Query Language (KQL).
• Proven experience extracting and reporting on SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams telemetry within large enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 data collection at scale, including throttling, pagination, batching, and incremental extraction strategies.
• Experience with SharePoint Online PowerShell and PnP PowerShell for permissions analysis and governance reporting.
• Ability to develop production-quality scripts, technical documentation, and repeatable operational processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify data quality or assessment risks early in the engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting governance, compliance, or security initiatives within insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
• Multi-Geo Microsoft 365 administration and reporting experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including Content Explorer and Activity Explorer.
• Experience developing repeatable assessment, governance, or reporting solutions for enterprise organizations.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Enterprise Administrator, Security Administrator, or Information Protection Administrator.
