Role description
At Crossing Hurdles, we work as a referral partner. We refer candidates to Mercor that collaborates with the world’s leading AI research labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. Organization: Mercor Position: Machine Learning Engineer Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $100/hour Location: Remote Duration: 1-2 months (with potential extension) Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week, flexible and asynchronous Responsibilities: (Training support will be provided) β€’ Compile external ML competitions into realistic, challenging tasks involving model training, dataset preparation, and experimentation β€’ Draft detailed, executable natural language plans for completing machine learning engineering tasks β€’ Implement these plans in Python code within a provided Docker environment β€’ Validate code outputs against original plans and document any discrepancies Requirements: β€’ Strong years of experience in applied machine learning or a PhD in machine learning or a closely related field β€’ Strong Python engineering skills, particularly in model training and data handling workflows β€’ Familiarity with Docker-based development environments β€’ Detail-oriented mindset with ability to follow technical specifications precisely β€’ Experience in ML reproducibility, benchmarking, or experimental validation (preferred) β€’ Ability to work independently under compliance-aligned protocols β€’ Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks are not supported) Application process: (Takes 20 min) β€’ Upload resume β€’ AI interview based on your resume (15 min) β€’ Submit form
