Role description
Machine Learning Engineer
Duration: 6 month contract - possible for extensions/conversion
Location: 100% remote
We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our Enterprise ML team and contribute to a high-impact pilot project focused on Incrementality modeling for our clients' internal retail media network. This initiative is distinct from other efforts and involves operationalizing a pilot currently in place. You will work closely with the engineers to harden and productionize the existing solution, which includes advanced Bayesian modeling techniques, particularly Bayesian regression. The current codebase is written in SQL and Python by a third-party data scientist, and your role will be to refine, optimize, and scale it for enterprise use.
Responsibilities:
• Harden and operationalize the existing Incrementality pilot model.
• Refactor and optimize SQL and Python code for production readiness.
• Apply deep expertise in Bayesian modeling, including regression techniques.
• Evaluate model performance and tradeoffs, and mitigate potential pitfalls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Document processes and contribute to knowledge sharing across the ML team.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in Bayesian modeling and Bayesian regression.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling tradeoffs and limitations.
• Experience operationalizing ML models in production environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
