SC Cleared Mid Weight Python Software Engineer / Machine Learning Engineer Contract | Inside IR35 | Predominantly Remote (UK only) | September Start We're supporting a high-profile programme within the UK National Security sector and are looking for SC Cleared Software Engineers to join an experienced engineering team delivering a next-generation open-source data analysis platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a meaningful project where you'll help build production-grade software and cloud infrastructure used to support complex, data-driven decision making. What you'll be working on • Building the core infrastructure for an open-source data analysis platform. • Developing scalable data ingestion pipelines. • Working closely with Data Scientists to build and operationalise analysis tooling. • Designing and refining ML and data pipelines. • Building backend services and contributing to a proof-of-concept web application. • Delivering secure, production-quality software within a collaborative engineering team. We're looking for engineers with experience in: • Strong Python software engineering. • AWS cloud services (Bedrock experience is advantageous). • Cloud infrastructure and modern software architecture. • DevOps and/or MLOps practices. • Building production-grade systems and platforms. • Backend development (FastAPI, Flask or Django desirable). • Collaborating closely with Data Scientists and cross-functional engineering teams. • Working directly with customers or stakeholders in consultancy or client-facing environments. Active SC Clearance is essential.
