Job Title: Machine Learning Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Computer Vision / Machine Learning Engineer to design, train, evaluate, and deploy vision-based ML models. This role focuses on image-based classification, detection, and segmentation using modern deep learning frameworks, with a strong emphasis on data quality, reproducibility, and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
Responsibilities
β’ Design and develop image-based ML models for classification, detection, and segmentation.
β’ Train, evaluate, and deploy models using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow/Keras.
β’ Ensure data quality and reproducibility in model development.
β’ Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams to achieve project goals.
β’ Curate, clean, and assure the quality of datasets.
β’ Utilize annotation tools and formats such as COCO and YOLO.
β’ Manage data versioning, experiment tracking, and ensure reproducibility.
β’ Apply image preprocessing techniques, including resizing, normalization, and data augmentation.
β’ Contribute to structured ML projects using notebooks and production-oriented scripts.
β’ Document work clearly and communicate results and limitations to diverse audiences.
Essential Skills
β’ Strong Python proficiency, including NumPy, OpenCV, and scikit-learn.
β’ Hands-on experience in computer vision tasks including image classification, object detection, and segmentation.
β’ Solid understanding of model training, hyperparameter tuning, regularization techniques, and overfitting mitigation.
β’ Knowledge of common model evaluation metrics, including precision, recall, F1-score, confusion matrix, and ROC/AUC.
β’ Experience with dataset curation, cleaning, and quality assurance.
β’ Proficiency in using version control systems like Git.
β’ Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate within a cross-functional team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
β’ Exposure to PyTorch and/or TensorFlow/Keras.
β’ Familiarity with annotation tools or formats (COCO, YOLO, etc.).
β’ Experience with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV.
β’ Exposure to manufacturing, automation, or regulated environments.
β’ Experience working with real-world image data and production constraints.
β’ Candidates ranging from recent graduates to 4 years of relevant experience will be considered.
Work Environment
The work schedule includes onsite work for 3 days and offsite for 2 days. This opportunity allows for training and development from an expert in a growing space.
