Machine Learning Engineer

About the Role The Perception team is seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to develop cutting-edge computer vision modules that enhance onboard perception capabilities for autonomous robotic systems. In this role, you will contribute directly to safety and operational efficiency by building and deploying advanced ML solutions for real-world environments. You will work across the full development lifecycle, including data collection, dataset creation, model design, training, validation, and optimization. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop in-cabin computer vision modules for safety-critical perception and monitoring applications • Build and implement perception model architectures using advanced machine learning and deep learning techniques • Create high-quality datasets by leveraging inputs from multiple sensors and large-scale data sources • Train, validate, and optimize models using real-world driving scenarios • Contribute to improving the safety, reliability, and performance of autonomous systems • Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts clearly Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field • 4+ years of experience in machine learning and computer vision • Strong background in modern computer vision techniques, including: • 3D reconstruction • Object detection and classification • Semantic segmentation • Experience training and deploying deep learning models in production environments • Proficiency in Python and/or C++ • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Qualifications • Experience in the self-driving or autonomous vehicle industry • Experience integrating ML models into latency-sensitive or real-time systems • Familiarity with CUDA and GPU acceleration
