Role description
Job Description: Machine Learning & Forecasting Engineer Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning & Forecasting Engineer to design and build advanced forecasting solutions tailored to specific customers and product lines. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, data engineering, and analytics teams to deliver scalable, well‑governed machine learning and data models across a modern Microsoft analytics platform. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and implement forecasting algorithms tailored to individual customers and product lines • Partner with business stakeholders to define forecasting methodologies and appropriate modeling approaches • Build end‑to‑end machine learning solutions from the ground up, including model design, training, and deployment • Ingest, transform, and prepare data from on‑premises data warehouses using ETL processes • Stage and model data into analytics‑ready reporting schemas for downstream reporting and ML use cases • Develop and maintain semantic models, initially schema‑based, and lead the transition to lake‑centric architectures • Publish schemas and semantic models into Microsoft Fabric to enable reporting and analytics • Support and modernize existing semantic models as they evolve from warehouse‑based to data lake–driven architectures • Ensure data models are scalable, well‑governed, and aligned with analytics and forecasting requirements Required Qualifications • Strong experience with machine learning and forecasting techniques • Advanced Python development skills for data processing and ML workflows • Proven experience designing and implementing ML solutions from inception through production • Solid background working with on‑premises data warehouses and ETL pipelines • Hands‑on experience designing reporting schemas and semantic models • Strong understanding of data modeling best practices for analytics and forecasting Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse and semantic models • Familiarity with transitioning semantic models from warehouse‑based sources to data lake architectures • Experience enabling analytics and ML solutions at scale within modern Microsoft data platforms Nice to Have • Exposure to forecasting use cases across multiple product lines or customer segments • Experience collaborating with BI, data engineering, and analytics team Robert Half is committed to being an equal employment employer offering opportunities to all job seekers, including individuals with disabilities.
