Role description
We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to help drive the A&D innovation strategy by applying advanced AI and machine learning techniques to automate and optimize knowledge management processes. The role will focus on building AI-driven solutions and prototypes that improve data accessibility, enhance decision-making, and create scalable tools for ongoing and future divestiture or acquisition activities.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop an AI prototype leveraging text embeddings to organize and query structured A&D content.
• Build and maintain reusable Python codebases for model training, deployment, and user-facing applications.
• Research and implement state-of-the-art AI and NLP models to support automation and predictive analytics.
• Enhance existing prototypes with improved feature sets and performance tuning for specific use cases.
• Support creation of technical documentation including solution design and implementation guidelines.
• Report development progress, risks, and key findings to project leadership on a regular basis.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of hands-on Python design and development experience.
• 3+ years of applied AI and NLP engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to evaluate solution options and recommend optimal approaches.
• Experience with version control tools and APIs (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub).
• Preferred: Experience in the healthcare or life sciences industry.
