Are you passionate about AI, cultural trends, and the evolving world of user-generated content? TELUS Digital is seeking a Machine Learning Expert Rater to join our team onsite in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is ideal for individuals who combine cultural fluency, critical thinking, and a strong understanding of AI model behavior. You’ll play a key part in evaluating and fine-tuning AI systems to ensure they reflect real-world nuance, safety, and human values. 📍 Location: Onsite in Las Vegas, NV (Relocation assistance provided) ⏳ Contract: 3 months (with potential extension) 🔍 What You’ll Do • Evaluate and rate AI model outputs for accuracy, safety, and alignment with cultural and contextual relevance. • Contribute to AI supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning (RLHF) pipelines. • Support Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) processes, ensuring consistent data quality and validation. • Review and assess User-Generated Content (UGC) for safety, policy compliance, and ethical standards. • Identify trends, edge cases, and model vulnerabilities, providing detailed analysis and reports. • Collaborate with trust & safety and red-teaming specialists to strengthen AI safety protocols. ✅ What You Bring • Native-level English proficiency with strong cultural awareness and deep familiarity with U.S. and global pop culture. • 1+ year of experience in AI model training, supervised fine-tuning, or reinforcement learning (RLHF). • 1+ year of experience in Machine Learning Operations (MLOps). • 1+ year of experience in Trust & Safety or UGC moderation. • Proven ability to analyze complex data and prepare actionable reports. • Skilled at navigating gray-area or edge-case scenarios in AI outputs. • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to follow intricate workflows and guidelines.
