Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract: W2 Only
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer with deep expertise in machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and Generative AI to design, build, deploy, and scale intelligent systems. The ideal candidate brings strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on experience across the full AI/ML lifecycle, and the ability to contribute to AI strategy and roadmap discussions. This role requires close collaboration with data engineers, product teams, and cloud/platform teams to deliver production-grade AI solutions that are scalable, reliable, and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and Generative AI solutions across the full lifecycle
Build and optimize LLM-powered applications , including RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) architectures
Implement data preprocessing and feature engineering using tools like Pandas and NumPy
Develop, train, evaluate, and tune ML models using modern AI/ML frameworks
Design and support RESTful APIs for model inference and system integrations
Deploy and manage models using cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure AI, or Google Cloud Platform ML services)
Implement MLOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and model iteration
Work with vector databases , embeddings, and LLM APIs to build scalable AI systems
Design scalable ML architectures , including distributed training and high-availability deployments
Integrate AI/ML services with enterprise platforms and third-party systems (including ServiceNow)
Collaborate on AI strategy, roadmap planning, and technical decision-making
Produce clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
10+ years of overall software development experience
Strong hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI
Proficiency in Python with solid software engineering fundamentals
Expertise across the AI/ML lifecycle : Data preparation Model development Deployment Monitoring observability Continuous improvement
Deep understanding of RAG patterns, vector databases, and LLM APIs
Strong foundation in advanced statistical modeling and machine learning theory
Experience with modern AI/ML frameworks and tooling
Experience designing and supporting RESTful APIs
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data processing technologies
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
Excellent documentation and communication abilities
