Maestro Config Engineer

Role Overview The Kinaxis Maestro Config Engineer is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the Kinaxis Maestro workflow automation engine within the RapidResponse platform. The role involves analysing defects, implementing configuration changes, updating data models, conducting testing, and ensuring best practices across the delivery team. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with SaaS configuration, and deep understanding of Kinaxis RapidResponse or similar planning systems. Key Responsibilities1. Maestro Configuration & Development • Configure and author Maestro workflows based on approved backlog items. • Implement changes within the Maestro environment while ensuring alignment with platform standards. • Develop, enhance, and optimise workflow logic to support business processes. 1. Defect Resolution & Root Cause Analysis • Identify, analyze, and resolve Maestro-related solution defects. • Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes or escalate to Kinaxis/R&D teams when required. • Log defects, enhancement requests, and technical issues through appropriate channels. 1. Data Model Management • Update and maintain the RapidResponse data model, including creation of new tables, fields, and objects. • Raise support tickets for data model modifications that require platform-level updates. • Ensure all model changes adhere to standard practices and avoid customisation outside of guidelines. 1. Testing & Quality Assurance • Conduct functional testing and peer testing for new configurations and enhancements. • Validate workflow behaviour, dependencies, and data integrity. • Support UAT cycles with documentation and defect tracking. 1. Documentation & Knowledge Management • Develop and maintain solution documentation for workflows, configurations, and model changes. • Share platform knowledge with team members and end users. • Contribute to knowledge base articles and best practice guidelines. 1. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement • Work closely with functional consultants, developers, supply chain planners, and business stakeholders. • Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and design discussions. • Support internal teams in understanding workflow behaviour and impacts of model changes.
