Role description
Manager, Data Analytics
The Manager, Data Analytics – Adobe Experience Platform Implementation supports the successful delivery of an Adobe data collection and analytics re-implementation.
This role ensures that tagging, event tracking, and data flow configurations across Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) are accurate, consistent, and aligned to business requirements.
Working closely with the AEP Engineer, Data Strategy Lead, and QA teams, the Data Analyst will validate data capture, document measurement logic, and help ensure that reporting outputs in Adobe Analytics and CJA are reliable and actionable.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Validation Support
• Validate event data and variables collected via Adobe Launch and AEP Web SDK to ensure accuracy and completeness across digital properties.
• Conduct testing and QA of Adobe Analytics event calls, props, eVars, and processing rules using Adobe Experience Platform Debugger, Griffon, and browser developer tools.
• Verify alignment between data layer variables, Adobe data elements, and XDM schema definitions.
• Support the configuration and validation of data pipelines feeding Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics, and downstream systems.
• Partner with developers and engineers to identify and resolve data layer population issues and event mapping inconsistencies.
Data Quality & Governance
• Maintain documentation for event definitions, variable mappings, and schema configurations within Adobe Launch and AEP.
• Monitor data consistency across environments (development, staging, production) to ensure successful deployments and schema alignment.
• Assist in defining and applying governance standards for variable naming, event tracking conventions, and version control within the Adobe ecosystem.
• Perform ongoing QA checks to ensure all data captured meets established accuracy and completeness thresholds.
Analytics Enablement & Reporting
• Collaborate with analytics teams to validate that business KPIs are measurable through Adobe Analytics and CJA datasets.
• Support the creation and maintenance of validation dashboards or audit views in Adobe Workspace or CJA.
• Translate validated technical data into clear documentation for reporting and insight generation.
• Provide analysis on event-level data trends to help identify potential tracking or attribution discrepancies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with implementation engineers, marketing analytics, and compliance teams to ensure measurement requirements are executed correctly.
• Communicate testing results, issues, and recommendations clearly across technical and non-technical teams.
• Contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT) and go-live validation during phased rollout of Adobe data collection components.
• Required Skills & Experience3–5 years of experience in digital analytics with a focus on Adobe Experience Cloud (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, Customer Journey Analytics, or AEP Web SDK).
• Strong knowledge of data collection and validation within tag management and event-based frameworks.
• Experience validating analytics calls and parameters using Adobe Experience Platform Debugger, Charles/Fiddler, or browser developer tools.
• Working understanding of data layers, JavaScript event tracking, and XDM schema concepts.
• Proficiency in Adobe Analytics Workspace and comfort analyzing structured datasets for QA and insights.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate technical outcomes into business-relevant documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting an Adobe Analytics or AEP re-implementation or migration project.
• Familiarity with Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) dataset structures and connection validation, preferred CJA Certification
• Exposure to server-side event forwarding or API-based integrations (CAPI, Edge Network).
• Basic understanding of privacy and consent management frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, IAB).
• Proficiency with Excel/Sheets, SQL, or data visualization tools for data validation and reconciliation.
