Data Manager – Retail Media & Cloud Data Platforms Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Alternate Locations: Chicago, IL | Atlanta, GA | Miami, FL | Boston, MA (Must be able to work onsite 3 days/week at a Publicis Sapient office) Duration: Long term contract Start Date: ASAP Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Data Manager to lead end-to-end data management initiatives supporting a Retail Media Network platform. This role will oversee data ingestion, integration, transformation, governance, quality, and analytics enablement across enterprise cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern data ecosystems, cloud platforms, data governance, and business intelligence, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, analytics, marketing, and business teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and business-ready data solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Lead end-to-end data management across enterprise cloud data platforms. • Oversee data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, transformation, validation, and integration processes. • Design and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting reporting and analytics. • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize data architecture, performance, and reliability. • Establish and enforce data quality, governance, metadata, and compliance standards. • Develop and maintain documentation including data definitions, mappings, transformation logic, and business rules. • Support semantic data modeling and reporting using Looker and LookML. • Partner with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions. • Enable self-service analytics and executive dashboards through well-structured datasets. • Support reporting and analytics for retail media campaigns, marketing performance, customer insights, and operational metrics. • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Data Engineering, Analytics, IT, Marketing, and Business teams. • Drive best practices for data management, governance, documentation, and delivery. Required Qualifications: • 8+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Analytics. • Strong experience with enterprise data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integrations. • Hands-on experience with one or more cloud data platforms. • Snowflake • Google BigQuery • Microsoft Azure • Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and optimization. • Experience with Looker and semantic modeling using LookML. • Working knowledge of Python for data processing (Pandas, NumPy, or PySpark). • Strong understanding of: • Data Governance • Data Quality • Metadata Management • Data Validation • Compliance Best Practices • Experience leading cross-functional projects and working with business stakeholders. • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
