These are Hybrid Dallas, TX (Onsite 4 Days/Week) Job Title: Manager Data Engineer Client: Publicis Sapient / Albertsons Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite 4 Days/Week) Rate: $75 – $80/hr (W2 or 1099) Employment Type: Contract About the Role Publicis Sapient is seeking an experienced Manager Data Engineer to support our client Albertsons, a leading retailer in the U.S. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead large-scale data engineering initiatives within a modern cloud ecosystem. The position is based in Dallas, TX and requires working onsite 4 days per week. As a Data Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and managing data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across retail media networks. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, architects, and stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and scalable architecture. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using BigQuery, GCS, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer. • Oversee and implement best practices in ETL design, Data Warehousing, and Data Modeling. • Lead efforts in event streaming, data ingestion, and integration across distributed systems. • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to provide scalable data solutions that support media monetization initiatives. • Drive innovation in data engineering practices with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability. • Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring adherence to data governance and security standards. • Partner with business leaders to align technical strategies with organizational goals. Required Skills and Experience • 10+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity. • Strong expertise in BigQuery (Advanced proficiency), GCS, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer. • Proven experience in ETL, Data Warehousing, and Event Streaming design and implementation. • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data pipeline development. • Solid understanding of Retail Media Network (RMN) or Media Monetization domain data models. • Deep understanding of modern data lake and data platform architectures. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with GCP-based data ecosystems. • Exposure to data governance frameworks and data quality management. • Previous experience in retail or media monetization domains.
