Manufacturing Accountant

Job Title: Manufacturing Accountant Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Ormond Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving financial excellence by analyzing business performance, ensuring cost control, and maintaining accurate financial records. This on-site role reports to the Business Controller and will collaborate closely with various teams to support the company’s financial goals. The candidate MUST HAVE ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE EXPERIENCE IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT AND BE ABLE TO INTERPRET ACCOUNTING REPORTS AND EXPLAIN TO FINANCE TEAM SO THEY CAN MAKE PROJECTIONS. Responsibilities • Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs to identify variances and trends. • Collaborate with production teams to optimize resource allocation and reduce waste. • Reconcile balance sheet and ensure all financial records comply with accounting standards and company policies, including intercompany transactions. • Evaluate financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making. • Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against business goals. • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management. • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation. • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement improvements. Essential Skills • Accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment. • Ability to interpret accounting reports and explain to finance team for projections. • Cost control and financial analysis experience. • Proficiency in financial reporting, reconciliation, and journal entry. • Experience with process improvement and systems expertise. • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation and macros. • Experience in SAP is preferred. • English language proficiency. • Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA. Additional Skills & Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in a financial analyst role. • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, or combination of education and relevant experience. • Experience in developing Power BI is a plus. Work Environment This is an on-site role at the manufacturing facility in Ormond Beach, FL. The position reports to the Business Controller and involves collaboration with various teams.
