Manufacturing Data Engineer | Pay: 70k - 90k/yr | Onsite in Ashland, VA | 9-month contract-to-hire Job Description We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team at our Ashland, VA manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will maintain, configure, and ensure the reliable operation of computer systems and networks. This position requires a deep understanding of IT systems, services, software, and scripting languages to streamline processes and enhance system performance. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems, both hardware and software, and infrastructure. • Develop and maintain scripts and tools to assist daily operations in the office and on the production floor. • Ensure network security by managing firewalls and monitoring for potential threats. • Document system configurations, procedures, and policies for future reference. Essential Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role in IT support. • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and their administration. • Experience with SQL databases, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Python, ASP, Web Forms, and Web Designer. • Understanding of firewall configurations and network security protocols. • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently. • Experience with Windows operating systems from Windows 7 to current. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Troubleshooting of dated hardware and software. • Network and server maintenance and troubleshooting. • Experience with ERP systems, especially in-house/company-made ERP systems. • Experience managing Office 365 in an office environment. Work Environment This position is primarily onsite from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 pm. There may be an option for hybrid work flexibility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland, VA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $75000.00/hr.
