Role description
Akkodis is recruiting for a Manufacturing DevOps Engineer for an aerospace manufacturer in the Twinsburg, OH area. This is an onsite contract position with a pay range of $80 an hour to $110 an hour depending on education, experience and location. This role is primarily focused on implementing and maintaining applicative components and middleware for Business applications, primarily focused on Manufacturing and Engineering software. Will mainly work with software products from vendors like Redhat, Microsoft, and IGE+XAO, but also internally developed solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities β€’ Application Implementation: β€’ Administrate Redhat Openshift platform. β€’ Installs and configure software components for Business applications relying on databases and other technical middleware, and client-side counterpart. Handles multiple (non-production and production) application environments. β€’ Collaborates with Application and other IT teams regarding creation and evolution of documentation, implementation standards and processes, and support phase activities scoping and documentation. β€’ Technical Support: β€’ Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to installation/operation and offer timely solutions to ensure the optimal performance. β€’ Manages changes and upgrades (major/minor) on the environments based on requirements and updates documentation and repositories, accordingly, following change management procedures. β€’ Analyze and defines monitoring of critical components health and execution of schedules. β€’ Investigates root causes and resolves problems in a structured approach, involving other teams if required β€’ Regular, predictable attendance is required. β€’ Other duties may be assigned. Education and/or Experience β€’ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, industrial automation or related field – preferred β€’ Requires 3-5 years of related experience in business-critical application installation/configuration and support in Windows systems or Linux environments.
