Role description
Contract: 8 months About the Job A global hospitality organization is seeking a highly motivated Consumer & Market Insights Contractor to support its Commercial Analytics team during a temporary leave of absence. In this role, you will execute high‑impact research initiatives and deliver insights that inform decision‑making, enhance guest experiences, and drive business innovation. You are expected to quickly integrate into existing workstreams and take ownership of active initiatives. Responsibilities • Translate business questions into clear research objectives, methodologies, and analytic plans. • Lead and support priority research initiatives, including: • Global brand health tracking • Guest experience analysis (post‑stay survey data) • Loyalty program and member insights • Macro‑level trends analysis and forecasting • Ad hoc research to inform strategic business initiatives • Synthesize insights across multiple data sources, including custom/primary research, syndicated research, and behavioral or transactional data. • Represent the voice of guests, consumers, and loyalty members to inform strategic and operational decision‑making. • Develop executive‑ready presentations and insight readouts with clear narratives and implications. • Partner consultatively with cross‑functional stakeholders (e.g., Brand, Marketing, Loyalty, and Operations teams). • Manage external research suppliers, including briefing, timeline management, deliverables, and quality control. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, psychology, marketing research, or a related field. • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in custom consumer research and insights, gained on the supplier side or through a combination of supplier‑side and client‑side roles. • Experience designing surveys and managing both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. • Strong understanding of data and statistical concepts, with the ability to synthesize insights from multiple data sources. • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint (visual storytelling) and Excel (data analysis). • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast‑paced environment. • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate strategic implications to diverse audiences. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in the travel, hospitality, or consumer services industry. • Master’s degree or MBA. • Familiarity with Tableau or similar business intelligence tools. • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute independently. • Self‑directed, highly motivated, and curious, with a strong drive for results.
