About PETERMAYER PETERMAYER is a full-service advertising agency based in New Orleans with a legacy of bold, insight-driven creative work. We deliver integrated, data-informed campaigns for national and regional clients. The Opportunity We are looking for a contract Marketing Analyst to serve as the connective tissue between our strategy, media, and analytics functions. Coordinates with our media planners, strategists, and media analytics partner, to translate data into actionable insights that power client strategy, and creative direction. This is not a pure number-crunching position. The ideal candidate bridges marketing intuition and analytical rigor β€” someone who can guide media and data conversations, ensure the quality of partner deliverables, and communicate findings in ways that drive decisions. You will work closely with leadership, the creative team, brand managers, and external partners to keep the agency’s insights engine running and evolving. Key Responsibilities Analytics Coordination & Partner Management β€’ Serve as the primary point of contact between PETERMAYER and our media & analytics partners for all analytics, reporting, and dashboard deliverables. β€’ Review and validate analytics outputs (dashboards, monthly reports, media performance data) to ensure accuracy and strategic relevance before client delivery. β€’ Support the maintenance and evolution of client dashboards, including coordinating data accuracy checks with internal stakeholders. β€’ Translate client marketing objectives into clear analytics briefs for external partners, ensuring alignment between media strategy and measurement. AI-Powered Insights & Tool Adoption β€’ Leverage AI tools β€” particularly Claude AI β€” to accelerate data analysis, automate recurring research tasks, and generate initial insight drafts for team review. β€’ Help build and maintain structured prompts, reusable artifacts, and workflows within Claude to support repeatable, high-quality outputs. β€’ Develop skillful use of intelligence tools (Waldo, Neurons, Claude) in collaboration with colleagues to develop best practices. β€’ Maintain human oversight and validation of AI-generated outputs, especially quantitative data, before any client-facing use. Strategy Support β€’ Participate in client QBRs and strategic conversations, contributing research-backed insights to elevate agency recommendations. β€’ Collaborate with brand management, PR, and creative teams to ensure research findings are integrated across agency output. Qualifications Required β€’ Bachelor's degree in marketing, Market Research, Business Analytics, Communications, or a related field. β€’ 1-3 years of experience in marketing analytics, consumer research, or a strategy role at an agency, media, or research firm. β€’ Understanding of media planning, buying, and performance measurement. β€’ Demonstrated ability to manage ongoing research programs or data projects with multiple stakeholders. β€’ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret survey data, media performance metrics, and competitive intelligence. β€’ Excellent communication skills: ability to translate data into clear, persuasive narratives for both internal teams and clients. β€’ Experience coordinating with external partners or vendors on analytics, media, or research deliverables. β€’ Comfort working with AI tools for data analysis and content generation, with a critical eye for quality assurance. β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Preferred β€’ Familiarity with dashboard and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). β€’ Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms for research or analysis. β€’ Background in food & beverage, travel & tourism, or telecommunications industries. β€’ Experience with project management tools like Monday.com.
