Marketing Data Analyst
My name is Bill Stevens, and I have a new six month plus Marketing Data Analyst opportunity available for a major insurance company that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below and I am available at any time to speak with you so please feel free to call me. The work week schedule will be hybrid, three days a week in the office and two days remote. The choice of onsite work location will be with the candidate, and he / she can work in either of the firm’s office locations mentioned below the job specification.
This position pays $45.00 per hour on a w-2 hourly basis.
The ideal candidate should also possess a green card or be of citizenship. No Visa entanglements and no H1-B holding company submittals.
Position Summary:
As a Marketing Data Analyst supporting the Performance Marketing organization, you will play a key role in powering data-driven marketing execution and decision-making. This role will be a key pillar in scaling our marketing campaigns by enabling faster insights and building scalable solutions for marketing analytics. Providing key support for our marketing partners across a multitude of marketing campaigns, you will focus on list management, ensuring accuracy, governance, and timely delivery of marketing audiences across channels. You will support analytical projects tied to measuring and improving marketing effectiveness in a scalable way. This includes data cleaning, data QA, exploratory analysis, and building visualizations that help the business understand performance and make smarter decisions.
You will collaborate closely with partners across marketing and project management. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with large datasets, and an ability to translate questions into structured analytical tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their technical skills while contributing directly to high-impact marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Audience and List Management
Manage end-to-end list production workflows for marketing campaigns, ensuring timely, accurate delivery across channels.
Execute audience pulls using established segmentation logic, filters, exclusions, and compliance rules.
Perform data QA to verify audience quality, identify anomalies, and ensure alignment to campaign requirements.
Maintain documentation and templates to improve consistency, transparency, and scalability in list management.
Partner with marketing stakeholders to refine audience requirements and troubleshoot list-related issues.
Marketing Analytics and Project Support:
Clean, validate, and prepare datasets used to measure marketing performance and audience behavior.
Build dashboards and visualizations that illuminate data quality, campaign performance, and operational trends.
Support the development of measurement frameworks that tie marketing activity to outcomes such as engagement, response, and lift.
Participate in match back exercises that ensure data accuracy and help quantify marketing’s impact.
Assist with exploratory analysis to uncover insights that inform targeting strategies and optimization opportunities.
Document processes and help introduce more scalable practices across list management and marketing analytics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
1–4 years of experience in data analysis, list management, marketing operations, or a similar data-driven role.
Proficiency in Excel and comfortability with utilizing formulas (nested ifs, index match) Working knowledge of SQL and comfort manipulating large datasets; experience with Python or R is a plus Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar).
High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to data QA and documentation.
Ability to translate marketing needs into structured data tasks and communicate findings clearly.
Curiosity, willingness to learn, and an appetite to build.
Location: Hybrid (3 days a week onsite) in either one of the following offices closest to the candidate's residence: New York, NY, Holmdel, NJ, Bethlehem, PA, Stamford, CT, Pittsfield, MA or Boston, MA
