Role description
Location: Remote (U.S.) Contract Length: Through March 2026 (with potential extension) Pay: $100โ€“$100/hr W-2 About the Role Weโ€™re looking for a hands-on Marketing Data Engineer to support our Marketing team by enabling push notification capabilities, building audience data connections, and supporting key integrations within our MarTech stack. This is a high-impact, technical role focused on data pipelines, segmentation, and platform enablementโ€”not campaign execution or creative. Youโ€™ll work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure we have the data, tools, and technical capabilities to power personalized messaging at scale. What Youโ€™ll Do โ€ข Enable push notifications through Zeta Marketing Platform by building and maintaining data connections. โ€ข Partner with external vendors and engineering teams to migrate data into Snowflake and make it usable for marketing activation. โ€ข Own and optimize advanced SQL queries to define and build audiences for marketing campaigns. โ€ข Collaborate with email developers to support dynamic content and personalization using ZML (Liquid scripting). โ€ข Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and engineering to ensure smooth data flows and audience targeting. โ€ข Act as the technical subject matter expert on data integrations, segmentation, and platform enablement. What Weโ€™re Looking For โ€ข 4+ years of experience working with marketing data, integrations, or marketing automation platforms. โ€ข Strong SQL expertise โ€” able to write, optimize, and debug queries for complex segmentation. โ€ข Experience working with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse solutions. โ€ข Familiarity with marketing automation tools like Zeta, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Adobe Experience Cloud. โ€ข Exposure to Liquid, AMPscript, or other templating/scripting languages. โ€ข Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with marketing and engineering teams. โ€ข Comfortable ramping up quickly in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have โ€ข Experience enabling push/in-app messaging within marketing platforms. โ€ข Previous work with APIs or marketing data integrations. โ€ข Familiarity with QA tools like Litmus or Email on Acid.
