Role description
Location: Fully Remote (CST hours)
Duration: 12-18 month contract plus extensions
Must Have:
• 7+ years of Business Analyst experience, self starter who needs very little hand holding
• Ability to write user stories
• Requirements gathering and documentation for identifying customer data/guest profiles
• Understanding of MarTech products and services within a large enterprise (Customer Data Platforms, CRM experience, enterprise orchestration layer)
• Understand dependencies of the products and teams within MarTech space, understanding data pipelines
• CDP and CRM experience
• Ability to work CST time zone
Plus:
• Confluence and Jira
• CDP (they use Amperity)
• Understanding of how to write SQL queries to access data
• Local to Chicago
• Braze or exposure to an enterprise orchestration layer for Omnichannel connections
• Hospitality (understanding of on prem systems and limitations for guests staying at hotels/properties)
• Loyalty and membership profile experience
D2D: This Sr. Business Analyst will be working on a huge initiative for a global hotel chain. The project/product is a colleague‑facing, operational CRM platform designed to help hotel staff personalize the guest experience while the guest is physically on site—before arrival, during the stay, and at checkout. It is not a traditional corporate or marketing CRM, as it involves prioritization and personalization for guests when they are visiting these hotel properties.
Responsibilities include:
• Embed with On‑Property CRM workstreams to capture requirements and support ongoing Agile rituals
• Partner closely with MarTech pods to translate CRM needs into clear, actionable requirements
• Gather and define CDP‑driven guest profile and attribute requirements, including identifying existing vs. derived attributes
• Work with CDP Product Managers to validate guest identification logic and expose required data to upstream and downstream systems
• Define content and data requirements for marketing systems and content delivery services
• Determine when and how guest data should surface into Colleague Advantage and coordinate with dependent teams (e.g., HPE)
• Manage and facilitate the Jira backlog, ensuring work is prioritized, documented, and moving through delivery
• Understand technical dependencies across CRM, CDP, MarTech, and data platforms to support effective execution
