Role description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Controller to manage our inventory processes and ensure optimal stock levels across our supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, and inventory control. This role requires proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Oversee inventory management processes including stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping & receiving.
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems to track inventory levels and manage procurement activities.
Conduct data mining and analysis to identify trends in inventory usage and demand planning.
Collaborate with suppliers for sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management to optimize purchasing strategies.
Implement process improvements based on root cause analysis to enhance efficiency in warehouse operations.
Manage logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of products while minimizing costs.
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and prepare reports using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Support category management initiatives by analyzing pricing strategies and financial modeling for inventory decisions.
Ensure compliance with safety standards during materials handling and forklift operations within the warehouse environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience in inventory management, supply chain analytics, or warehouse management is essential.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, AS400, or Nielsen for effective decision-making.
Familiarity with MRP systems, financial analysis, and merchandising principles is preferred.
Excellent negotiation skills with experience in contracts related to procurement and supplier management.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in a warehouse setting while adhering to safety protocols.
Knowledge of e-commerce logistics and retail management practices is a plus.
