Medicaid Business Analyst

Position Title: Medicaid Business Analyst Duration of the Contract: 12 months Possibility for Extension: Yes Work Location: Columbia, SC Position Overview We are looking for a Medicaid Business Analyst. Key Responsibilities • Creating and sending reports for Medicaid operations • Helping business users when they have system issues • Monitoring problems and escalating serious issues • Helping test system changes before they go live (User Acceptance Testing) • Reviewing defects and tracking resolutions • Supporting eligibility and provider data processes • Suggesting improvements to business processes • Identifying risks and recommending solutions Required Qualifications • 1+ year supporting MMIS (Medicaid system) • 1+ year working with Medicaid claims and provider operations • 1+ year working with Medicaid eligibility or enrollment systems • Experience with: MS Office Jira SharePoint workflows Required Education Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or technical field (OR 4+ years related experience instead of degree) Preferred Skills • Strong knowledge of MMIS operations • Experience with data tools like: • SAS • Excel (advanced) • Data visualization tools
