Role description
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Data Analyst with 1–2 years of experience post‑college to support day‑to‑day data governance and data quality activities. This role is highly operational and will work closely with Operations teams and Data Stewards to ensure data is accurate, complete, and consistently maintained across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys structured, detail‑oriented work, strong cross‑functional communication, and learning how data is managed in real business environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform data quality reviews, validations, and reconciliations, primarily using SQL and Python
• Partner closely with Operations teams and Data Stewards to review, clarify, and resolve data issues. Track, document, and follow up on data discrepancies, definitions, and governance rules.
• Maintain and update data documentation, trackers, and reference files.
• Support basic systems work and light automation (5–10%), such as repeatable processes or simple enhancements—tools and AI support will be available.
• Escalate data issues clearly and professionally, ensuring alignment between business and data teams.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1–2 years of professional experience after college (internships and entry‑level roles count). - Strong Excel skills (filters, pivot tables, formulas; macros a plus but not required). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills — ability to work comfortably with non‑technical operational teams. - High attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive, process‑driven work accurately. - Comfortable asking questions, documenting answers, and following defined processes.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with SQL (basic querying or understanding how data is structured). - Exposure to data systems, databases, or how data flows between systems. - Prior experience working with Data Stewards, Operations, or Business teams. - Interest in learning basic automation or systems tools over time
