Metadata Analyst

This role is responsible for managing and maintaining metadata repositories, ensuring compliance with data standards, and supporting the organization's data governance framework. The successful candidate will champion metadata visibility and standardization while implementing robust processes for change management and attestation Client Details A leading global financial institution with a strong presence in EMEA, committed to delivering innovative solutions and maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and compliance. Description • Own and maintain interim metadata management repositories. • Ensure metadata is maintained to policy standards. • Collaborate with data owners and stewards to populate business metadata for critical data elements (CDEs). • Work with project managers to populate technical metadata as required by transformation initiatives. • Establish and execute attestation and change management processes. • Support documentation of data lineage where required. • Assist in identifying long-term and interim metadata management tools. • Promote standardization, visibility, and wider corporate usage of metadata. • Must be hands-on and proactive in driving metadata initiatives. Profile • Significant experience in metadata management, including business and technical metadata. • Familiarity with formal and informal metadata management tools. • Strong skills in data modeling, data profiling, and documentation. • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities. • Financial services experience preferred but not essential. Job Offer • A competitive daily rate circa £700 per day (umbrella rate, Inside IR35) • Temporary position within a large organisation in the financial services industry. • Hybrid/ flexible working (London based)
