Role description
Job: Microsoft BI Specialist Location: Baton Rouge, LA Duration: 12 Months Pay: $65 - $70/hr. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data & Business Process Automation Analyst to join a dynamic enterprise team. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working with data, building reports, automating business processes, and improving operational efficiency through technology. Key Responsibilities โ€ข Develop, maintain, and analyze reports, dashboards, and data models to support business operations. โ€ข Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting. โ€ข Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel features, including Power Query, pivot tables, and complex formulas, for data transformation and analysis. โ€ข Design, maintain, and enhance SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and permissions. โ€ข Create and maintain HTML-based forms for data collection and business workflows. โ€ข Develop automated workflows using SharePoint Workflows, Microsoft Power Automate, or similar automation tools. โ€ข Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes through automation and improved data management. โ€ข Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver technical solutions. โ€ข Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple systems. โ€ข Troubleshoot reporting, workflow, and system-related issues. Required Qualifications โ€ข Strong experience with SQL and relational databases. โ€ข Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query. โ€ข Experience administering and developing SharePoint solutions. โ€ข Working knowledge of HTML and web-based forms. โ€ข Hands-on experience building workflows and process automations. โ€ข Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. โ€ข Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications โ€ข Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence/reporting tools. โ€ข Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.). โ€ข Knowledge of data governance and reporting best practices. โ€ข Experience supporting business operations or workforce management environments. Top Required Skills โ€ข Experience creating workflows and process automations. โ€ข Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query. โ€ข Knowledge of HTML and web-based forms.
