Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Ewing, NJ that is seeking a Microsoft Entra ID Engineer for Cloud, Systems and Security. The candidate will be required to work on-site in the office 5 days a week in Ewing, NJ. Summary: We are looking for a Microsoft Entra ID Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft Cloud technologies. This is an Engineer role - ideal for someone who can evaluate, design, and oversee the implementation of Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) capabilities aligned to security, compliance, and scalability. Responsibilities:
• Assess and evolve the current Microsoft Entra ID posture, ensuring identity services are correctly configured, secure, and compliant with industry and regulatory standards
• Execution of Entra ID strategies across the enterprise, including Conditional Access, MFA, Identity Governance, PIM, and Identity Protection
• Collaborate across teams (security, compliance, app owners, infrastructure) to define and enforce least-privilege access and Zero Trust principles
• Translate business and security requirements into scalable, secure identity solutions
• Develop roadmaps and documentation for Entra ID and broader Microsoft Cloud IAM architecture, with a view toward long-term sustainability and succession
• Support internal audits and regulatory reviews through posture assessments and evidence-based reporting
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Cloud Engineering, with a deep focus on Microsoft Entra ID / Azure Active Directory
Expert-level understanding of:
• Hybrid identity (AD + Entra ID)
• Conditional Access & MFA
• Entra Identity Governance (entitlement management, access reviews)
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) in Microsoft 365 and Azure
• Microsoft Entra PIM and Identity Protection
• Strong understanding of Microsoft security posture, compliance standards, and identity architecture
• Proficient in scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell, Graph API) for review and oversight, though hands-on work may be delegated
• Experience integrating applications with Entra ID using SAML/OAuth/OpenID
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Entra Permissions Management, and Microsoft Purview (this is a plus)
• Comfortable working across multiple teams and vendors to drive outcomes, even without direct authority
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
