About the Company
We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Fabric Architect with strong hands-on development expertise and deep understanding of Fabric infrastructure.
About the Role
This is an addition to the Fabric SME position currently in the hiring pipeline, and requires a candidate who can independently lead architecture design, drive implementation, and mentor cross-functional teams in enterprise-scale data platform modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Architect end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions including Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Warehousing, Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI workloads.
• Design and implement Lakehouses, Warehouses, Data Pipelines, and Notebooks within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
• Define governance frameworks, capacity management strategies, and workspace topology aligned with enterprise requirements.
• Lead migration of existing Azure Synapse, ADF, or Databricks workloads to Microsoft Fabric.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture.
• Establish best practices for CI/CD, security (row-level, column-level), and monitoring within Fabric.
• Optimize OneLake storage, Delta tables, and Fabric compute for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct design reviews, and mentor junior team members.
• Evaluate and recommend Fabric feature adoption (e.g., Mirroring, Eventstream, Fabric Real-Time Hub).
• Act as a Fabric SME escalation point and liaise with Microsoft support / FastTrack teams when required.

• Programming PySpark, SQL, Python, DAX, M Query; experience with Delta Lake / Delta format
• Data Modeling Star schema, medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold), semantic models in Fabric
• DevOps & CI/CD Git integration in Fabric, Azure DevOps pipelines, deployment pipelines, workspace branching strategies
• Security & Governance Microsoft Purview integration, RLS/OLS, sensitivity labels, Fabric capacity & workspace governance
• Monitoring & Optimization Fabric Capacity Metrics app, query optimization, Spark tuning, cost management

• Prior experience as Lead/Principal Architect on at least 2 enterprise Microsoft Fabric or Synapse projects.
• Hands-on experience with Fabric Mirroring, OneLake shortcuts, and cross-cloud data access patterns.
• Exposure to Fabric for Power BI Premium / Embedded scenarios.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery models.
Pay range and compensation package
Total Experience 8+ years in Data Engineering / Data Architecture Microsoft Fabric Minimum 1.5–2 years hands-on (GA or preview experience) Azure Data Services 4+ years on Azure Synapse, ADF, ADLS, or Databricks Architecture Role 3+ years in a Lead/Architect capacity on enterprise projects
