Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem and delivering compelling solutions for our clients. Day-to-day of the role:
• Design, develop, and maintain data solutions using key Microsoft Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Data Factory, Notebooks, Dataflow Gen2, and OneLake.
• Utilise Azure Data Services including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL to enhance data solutions.
• Implement robust data models and develop efficient ETL/ELT processes using SQL and Azure Data Factory/Dataflow Gen2.
• Design, develop, and implement complex Power BI reports and dashboards, including writing complex DAX formulas and utilising Power Query.
• Use Python/PySpark for data manipulation, analysis, and automation, alongside advanced T-SQL for database management.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data pipeline and storage performance within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
• Collaborate effectively within a team to ensure data quality and integrity, communicate technical concepts clearly, and meet client needs through occasional travel.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including experience with Lakehouse, Data Factory, Notebooks, Dataflow Gen2, and OneLake.
• Strong experience with Azure Data Services such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
• Proficient in data modelling and ETL/ELT processes using SQL and Azure technologies.
• Experienced in Power BI development, including complex DAX and Power Query.
• Strong programming skills in Python/PySpark and advanced T-SQL.
• Skilled in performance optimisation within Microsoft Fabric.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English, and willingness to travel to meet clients.
