Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer We are seeking a proactive and skilled Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join our growing team. Day-to-day of the role: • Design, develop, and maintain data solutions using key Microsoft Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Data Factory, Notebooks, Dataflow Gen2, and OneLake. • Utilise Azure Data Services including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL to enhance data solutions. • Implement robust data models and develop efficient ETL/ELT processes using SQL and Azure Data Factory/Dataflow Gen2. • Design, develop, and implement complex Power BI reports and dashboards, including writing complex DAX formulas and utilising Power Query. • Use Python/PySpark for data manipulation, analysis, and automation, alongside advanced T-SQL for database management. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data pipeline and storage performance within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. • Collaborate effectively within a team to ensure data quality and integrity, communicate technical concepts clearly, and meet client needs through occasional travel. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including experience with Lakehouse, Data Factory, Notebooks, Dataflow Gen2, and OneLake. • Strong experience with Azure Data Services such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL. • Proficient in data modelling and ETL/ELT processes using SQL and Azure technologies. • Experienced in Power BI development, including complex DAX and Power Query. • Strong programming skills in Python/PySpark and advanced T-SQL. • Skilled in performance optimisation within Microsoft Fabric. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English, and willingness to travel to meet clients.
