Role description
Microsoft Power Platform Developer
Remote (East Coast Hours), Contract role
RedStream Technology is searching for a backend-leaning Software Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Power Platform governance and lifecycle management to support the development and enforcement of scalable governance policies across our clientβs low-code environment. This role is part of a larger platform team focused on building internal tools and services to manage and automate aspects of Power Platform usage.
The engineer will play a key role in implementing policies that ensure secure, compliant, and user-friendly Power Platform environments. A major aspect of the role includes developing a wrapper around PowerShell scripts and exposing them as RESTful APIs to integrate seamlessly with backend systems and governance tooling. The engineer will also collaborate with stakeholders to support platform-wide governance initiativesβnot limited to one specific governance area, but holistically across the Power Platform ecosystem.
Experience writing and managing PowerShell scripts and working with APIβs is important.
Key Requirements
β’ 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform, with a focus on governance and environment lifecycle management
β’ Proven experience writing and managing PowerShell scripts, including automation and administrative tasks
β’ Strong proficiency in backend development, with skills in Python and TypeScript
β’ Experience creating RESTful APIs to expose internal automation (e.g., PowerShell) to broader systems
β’ Familiarity with governance tooling or platforms that interface with Power Platform
β’ Understanding of platform-level policy enforcement, security guardrails, and tenant-wide standards
β’ Comfortable operating in a remote environment aligned to East Coast hours
β’ C# and Azure services experience are nice to have, but not required
