The ideal candidate will have extensive experience architecting MicroStrategy environments, building data models, and designing analytical dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing BI solutions. Key Responsibilities:Architecture & Design Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of the MicroStrategy platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity. Design data models, schema objects, and semantic layers for efficient data retrieval and reporting. Develop BI architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices for the organization. Integrate MicroStrategy with enterprise data sources, including data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle). Define and implement security architecture, including object- and data-level security. Development & Implementation Oversee the development of dashboards, reports, visualizations, and cubes using MicroStrategy Web, Desktop, and Mobile. Support advanced analytics initiatives, integrating with Python, R, or cloud-based analytics services. Create reusable templates and components to accelerate BI delivery. Manage version control, deployment, and migration of BI objects across environments (Dev, QA, Prod). Optimization & Administration Monitor and optimize MicroStrategy performance, including caching, indexing, and distribution services. Administer and maintain the MicroStrategy Intelligence Server, Web Server, and Metadata repository. Define and implement governance, auditing, and usage tracking across BI assets. Collaborate with infrastructure teams on capacity planning, upgrades, and patch management. Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into BI solutions. Partner with data engineers and architects to ensure reliable data pipelines and modeling alignment. Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior BI developers, and reviewing design deliverables. Contribute to the roadmap for enterprise analytics modernization, including cloud migration strategies. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience as a MicroStrategy Architect or Lead Developer. 12 years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing. Strong hands-on expertise with MicroStrategy Developer, Architect, and Web tools. In-depth knowledge of MicroStrategy schema objects (attributes, facts, hierarchies, transformations, metrics). Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization (SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, etc.). Experience implementing security roles, object-level access, and data governance in MicroStrategy. Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, normalization). Familiarity with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, DataStage, etc.) and data integration best practices. Experience in cloud-based BI environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MicroStrategy Cloud preferred.
