MicroStrategy Developer

Job Title: MicroStrategy Developer Location: Katy, TX Duration: 12 Months+ Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced MicroStrategy Developer to design, develop, and deploy business intelligence (BI) solutions that deliver actionable insights across the organization. The ideal candidate will be skilled in MicroStrategy architecture, dashboard development, and data modeling, with a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and reporting best practices. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and visualizations. • Create schemas, cubes, and metadata objects to support business requirements. • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. • Implement MicroStrategy security, user roles, and access control. • Perform performance tuning and optimization of dashboards and reports. • Support data validation, testing, and troubleshooting of BI solutions. • Integrate MicroStrategy with other systems (e.g., databases, ETL tools, APIs). • Provide production support and resolve issues in a timely manner. • Stay current with MicroStrategy updates, new features, and BI industry trends. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. • 3–7 years of experience as a MicroStrategy Developer or BI Developer. • Strong knowledge of MicroStrategy Desktop, Web, Architect, Developer, and Enterprise Manager. • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.). • Experience in data modeling, data warehouse concepts, and ETL processes. • Strong understanding of metadata modeling and schema design in MicroStrategy. • Experience in dashboard design principles and data visualization best practices. • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
