Role description
The MicroStrategy Sr. Enginner supports the enterprise BI modernization initiative by enabling accurate migration of existing MicroStrategy reports and semantic logic into Power BI. This role focuses on analysis, documentation, and validation rather than new MicroStrategy development.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze MicroStrategy shared and self-service reports including prompts, filters, selectors, attributes, and metrics
• Explain MicroStrategy semantic layer design, including joins, hierarchies, and attribute relationships
• Review MicroStrategy-generated SQL to identify Oracle source tables and query behavior
• Support Power BI developers with business logic clarification and validation
• Assist with report scoping, complexity assessment, and documentation
Required Qualifications
• 6+ years of hands-on MicroStrategy experience
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle databases
• Experience supporting BI migrations or modernization programs
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to Power BI migrations
• Experience with large-scale transactional systems
