Role Description This is an on-site contract role for a MuleSoft Engineer based in BOSTON MA. The MuleSoft Engineer will design, develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using MuleSoft to connect healthcare and enterprise systems securely and efficiently. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining APIs, troubleshooting integration issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in Agile ceremonies, creating technical documentation, and supporting production environments to ensure reliable, scalable integration services.
Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Back-End Web Development and Software Development, particularly in integration-focused environments.
• Proficiency in Programming with at least one modern language (such as Java) commonly used for MuleSoft development.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in API and integration design.
• Practical experience designing and implementing MuleSoft APIs, flows, and connectors; familiarity with Anypoint Platform.
• Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP services, API security, and integration patterns in cloud and on-premises architectures.
• Experience working in Agile teams, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Healthcare domain experience, familiarity with HIPAA and related regulations, and MuleSoft or cloud certifications are beneficial.
