Role description
Overview
Our banking client is seeking an experienced nCino Product Owner to own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of the nCino Loan Origination platform on Salesforce. This role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and lending operations, ensuring nCino solutions align with commercial banking objectives while delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, cycle time, and user experience.
The ideal candidate has hands-on nCino experience, deep understanding of lending workflows, and a proven track record of owning backlog, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment in regulated banking environments.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Strategy
• Own the nCino product roadmap across commercial, SBA, and/or retail lending
• Define product vision, success metrics, and delivery priorities aligned to business goals
• Act as the primary decision-maker for scope, tradeoffs, and backlog prioritization
Backlog & Delivery Management
• Create, groom, and prioritize the product backlog (user stories, epics, acceptance criteria)
• Translate lending and operational requirements into clear, actionable stories for delivery teams
• Partner with Scrum Masters, Developers, Functional Consultants, and QA to drive sprint execution
• Participate in sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
Stakeholder Engagement
• Serve as the primary liaison between:
• Lending (Commercial, SBA, Credit)
• Operations
• Risk & Compliance
• IT / Engineering
• Lead discovery workshops and requirements sessions
• Communicate roadmap, timelines, and release impacts to senior stakeholders
nCino & Salesforce Platform Ownership
• Own functional direction for nCino LOS, including:
• Loan origination workflows
• Credit analysis & approvals
• Document generation and covenant tracking
• Exception handling and reporting
• Partner with technical teams on Salesforce configuration, integrations, and data flows
• Ensure solutions align with regulatory, audit, and compliance standards
Testing, UAT & Go-Live
• Lead UAT planning and execution with business users
• Validate that delivered solutions meet business and regulatory requirements
• Support go-live readiness and post-deployment stabilization
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Senior Business Analyst in banking
• Hands-on nCino experience supporting lending platforms on Salesforce
• Strong understanding of commercial and/or retail lending workflows
• Experience owning backlog and delivery in Agile / Scrum environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to make decisions in fast-paced, regulated environments
