Kelly Government Solutions is seeking a Neurobehavioral Bioinformatics Scientist at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Position overview:
The NIH is seeking a Neurobehavioral Bioinformatics Scientist with expertise in neurobehavioral imaging data analysis and machine learning.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with raw data acquisition, management, and pre-processing for the Neurobehavioral Core Laboratory and internal groups.
• Troubleshoot instrument run issues, data processing issues, and sample performance issues.
• Establish and maintain high throughput data processing and analysis systems.
• Evaluate commercial software and open-source software for data processing and analysis.
• Assist with the design and development of major in vivo neurobehavioral programming projects for scientists.
• Write custom scripts to access databases and analyze data.
• Develop novel analytic methodology to meet the demands of evolving intramural scientific research.
• Provide training for scientists in in vivo neurobehavioral data analyses and interpretation.
• Train scientists in the selection and use of in vivo neurobehavioral bioinformatics tools.
• Assist with the preparation and teaching of courses and/or demonstrations on the use of these tools.
• Provide technical expertise for software and tools used in neurobehavioral research.
• Provide consultations for experimental design in support of scientific research projects.
• Conduct routine data analyses for research projects.
• Develop and perform customized analytical strategies tailored to each project.
• Deliver summary reports and visualization of results.
• Assist with results interpretation and contribute to scientific manuscript preparation.
Requirements:
• Minimum of M.S. degree in Biological Sciences, Neuroscience, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, or a related discipline. Ph.D. is preferred.
• Machine Learning Certification.
• Proficiency in SQL, R, Image J, Python, MATLAB, Linux, Shell, PERL, Unix, and Java.
• Strong skills in neurobehavioral imaging data analysis.
• Experience working with large datasets.
• Familiarity with cloud-based computing and pipeline development.
• Expertise in multi-omics analysis and machine learning.
• Proficient in image analysis techniques.
