NoSQL Data Engineer

NO C/C No Third Party Vendors Healthcare industry is a must NoSQL Data Engineer with MongoDB Location: Remote (EST/CST working hours preferred) Type: Contract (6 months, strong potential for extension) This role is heavily focused on NoSQL data storage and optimization, particularly MongoDB, along with ETL development, cloud technologies, and data governance. The ideal candidate will also have experience supporting government-related projects and working within regulated environments. Responsibilities • Design, implement, and optimize data storage solutions with a strong emphasis on MongoDB (schema design, indexing, performance tuning). • Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines supporting large data volumes. • Support database design and migration initiatives, including work with relational databases and stored procedures (Oracle preferred). • Contribute to ongoing migration efforts to Oracle Exadata. • Implement and enforce data governance, access controls, and compliance standards. • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure automation (Terraform is a plus). • Work with big data technologies and integrate solutions across multiple platforms. • Leverage cloud technologies (Azure preferred) to build scalable, secure data solutions. Required Skills & Experience • Strong hands-on experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB (data storage, indexing, optimization). • Proven experience with ETL processes, database design, and data governance. • Working knowledge of relational databases and Oracle concepts (including stored procedures). • Experience supporting government or highly regulated projects. • Familiarity with big data technologies. • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or similar). • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines. • Terraform experience is a nice-to-have.
